Purpose

This charter sets out the rules everyone agrees to follow when creating, sharing, publishing or printing books with Eliacover, a service published by Elia Interactive (a French single-member limited company, EURL, with share capital of 1,000 euros, registered with the Nanterre Trade and Companies Register under number 834 492 894, 22B Avenue de la Division Leclerc, 92320 Châtillon, France). It supplements the Terms of Use, of which it forms part. You accept it when you create your account, and again each time it is updated: the app asks you before you continue. It applies to everything you provide (texts, photos, answers) and to everything created from it.

Prohibited content

You may not create, request or share with Eliacover: violent or shocking content, or content that glorifies or incites violence, terrorism or self-harm; hateful or discriminatory content (origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability…); sexual or pornographic content of any kind; harassment, threats, intimidation or content meant to humiliate a person; misleading content, in particular deepfakes showing a real person in a situation they never experienced, false information or fake documents; any unlawful content (glorification of crimes, incitement to hatred, invasion of privacy, defamation, fraud…); any content that infringes the intellectual property of others.

Protection of minors

Any sexual, suggestive or sexualised content involving a minor, whether real or fictional, drawn or generated, is strictly prohibited, without exception. Any attempt leads to the immediate closure of the account and a report to the competent authorities (in France, the PHAROS platform). Books for children and books in which children appear must remain age-appropriate and respect their dignity.

Image rights

You may only use a person's face, photo or name with their consent: the app asks you to confirm it for each person in your book. For a minor, this consent must be given by the holders of parental authority (parents or legal guardian); if you are not one of them, you must have obtained their consent. For a public figure (artist, athlete, politician, influencer…), you may not use their image or name without their permission, nor have them say things or appear in situations that could be taken as real. A person may withdraw their consent at any time: you then agree to remove their image from your shared or published books.

AI-generated content

The texts and illustrations in your books are created by Elia, Eliacover's artificial intelligence, from what you provide. They are creations, not authentic photos or documents: never present them as such. When you share or publish a book beyond the circle of the people close to it, state clearly that its illustrations are AI-generated whenever they could be taken for real; Eliacover may also flag this on shared books. Impersonating someone is forbidden, for example by presenting a book as written, approved or narrated by someone who did not do so. The voices, sounds and music of the audiobook are also created by artificial intelligence: the voices are synthetic voices created from a description (age, tone, character); they are nobody's voice, no real voice is recorded, reproduced or cloned, and the player says so (“Voices, sounds and music created with Elia, Eliacover's artificial intelligence”). Never present them as the voice of a real person. AI can make mistakes: read your book again before sharing, publishing or printing it.

Intellectual property

Only upload texts and photos you created yourself or for which you hold the necessary rights. Do not ask for the reproduction of protected works, characters, logos or trademarks belonging to others without their permission.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you provide, for your requests and for how you use the books created: sharing, online publishing, printing, distribution. You indemnify Elia Interactive against any third-party claim arising from a breach of this charter (image rights, privacy, intellectual property…). Your account is personal: you are answerable for what is done with it.

Moderation, reporting and sanctions

To protect everyone, Eliacover automatically checks some requests, photos and texts (for example when a book is shared), and may have them reviewed by a member of the team. Any reader can report a shared book with the "Report this book" button, and anyone can write to us at contact@eliacover.com. In the event of a breach, and depending on its seriousness, we may refuse a creation, remove content, disable a share link or a publication, suspend the account or close it permanently, and report the facts to the authorities. Except in an emergency or where the law requires otherwise, we inform you of the measure and its reasons; you can contest it by writing to us. Credit used for prohibited content is not refunded.
